National Expectations for Learning in Arts Education Conversation Begins
In August of 2009, conversations regarding the future of Arts Education were formalized with a meeting of several Arts Education Stakeholders in Annapolis Maryland facilitated by SEADAE in partnership with CCSSO/SCASS. Minutes and video archives of this meeting are available below:

April 11, 2010

SEADAE held a strategic planning meeting in Washington, DC. In addition to revisiting SEADAE's initial five year plan and taking stock, SEADAE members reviewed the goals of the National Expectations for Learning in Arts Education project and began thinking about revising arts standards.

May 11th & 12th, 2010
SEADAE called together stakeholders in Arts Education for a meeting in Washington, DC hosted by CCSSO at CCSSO's headquarters. Links to video and archival materials from the meeting may be found below:

Currently we have made available archived video from the May 11th and 12th Planning Meeting in Washington D.C in 2010. As a result of this meeting it was decided to move forward with the work of re-envisioning the National Arts Standards. SEADAE (State Education Agency Directors of Arts Education) agreed to facilitate and organize the work.
